Photoshoot Location Scouting

I'm always on the look-out for places to have a photo shoot and last Monday I decided to explore nearby Chatfield State Park. It costs $8 for a day pass to the park which has a total of 26 miles of trails, paved and unpaved. I wasn't familiar with the park so I got my pass and started driving down the road until I came across a small parking lot for a picnic area. It had been raining off and on all day long so everything was pretty soggy, and of course I didn't take my rain boots with me. A trail ran along the parking lot so I grabbed by DSLR Nikon D3200 as well as my 1970s 35mm Pentax K1000 and went wandering. It was a great way to spend a cloudy afternoon and I got some pretty cool shots! See some of them below.
